Self portrait of sorts. Rekindling my love for gouache, a medium I've been neglecting. I have come to realize that different mediums evoke different color pallets for me. I am not sure if this is a good thing or just lazy craftsmanship. Gouache and watercolor have saturated colors on top of warm neutral colors. Where as my oil pallet is a bit more subdued. I'm not sure if this matters to anyone, but maybe you share the same experience?
Thanks for looking, there is always room to get immensely better.

Water Soluble Oil Paint
Having a blast using water soluble oil paint, it's becoming my favorite medium. It is like thick gouache. Feels like oils, but is pretty slick, which I am diggin.

Trying to balance style, form and not overworking the paint. I have been trying to work this out in my fully realized illustration. Must keep doing studies. I feel like I'm onto something
